The Vlog: Season 4 "Demented" Commentary.

About a month ago, I got the idea to do a commentary with the cast of Season 4 of The Vlog. Some accepted the offer; others declined; and at least one just couldn't be there due to timing issues. But one Friday evening, I got together with Dylan, Kai, Jason, Sebastian, and Steve to record the Vlog's first-ever commentary track. We had a lot of fun doing this, and now... it's finally available to watch and/or listen to!

I had to cut out a few things for time (and sanity) sake, but there's a lot of interesting stuff here! Behind-the-scenes stories, some 'making of' explanations, our favorite moments, a lot of jokes, and more! Note: I've split it up into 5 parts for your convenience.

The Vlog: Season 4, Episode 12 (The Finale - Part 2: The Consequences) + Bloopers.

The Vlog: Season 4, Episode 11 (The Finale - Part 1: The Truth).

Welcome one and all the Part 1 of the 2-part season finale! This episode begins giving some answers... to questions you might not have been sure you even had! There are connections to both seasons 2 and 3 here, filling in some heretofore unexplained plot elements (for instance, "how did Kai get suddenly turned back into a human from being a hamster in Season 2?"). And, of course, its biggest connection is to the two episodes last season (Rachel's Version and Jess' Version). We previously were unsure who was right and who was wrong... but now... we have The Truth. As well as the outcome of the fight from last year's finale.

The Vlog: Season 4, Episode 10 (The Return).

I apologize for this being almost a day late, but I got it in on time. I've just had a really busy weekend. Anyway, this is the final "regular" episode of the season. The next 2 episodes are actually a 2-part Season Finale (which I'll be attempting to put out a promo for in the near future). But as for now, here is this episode. The Vlog: Season 4, Episode 9 (Story Time #4 - A Vlog Renewed).

This is one of those episodes that makes me nervous. It's very choppy when I'm putting it together and takes a lot of time and editing to get right. Of course, the last time I felt this way, it turned out to be one of y'all's favorite episodes of last season. So let's hope something similar happens here. It's more than just a 'recap of the whole series' episode, as it does have a bigger purpose in existing. So I hope everyone enjoys. Let me know what y'all think!

Alrighty, dear viewers. Here is the next episode of The Vlog. Took me a while to think of something to do for this episode (and I still pretty much came up with it on the fly). But I think it's a fun little gag. Of course, that's book-ended in plot-related stuff. So I hope you enjoy it, and let me know what you think in the comments!

The Vlog: Season 4, Episode 7 (Story Time #3 - The Room).

Here you go... probably the episode you were all waiting for--or at least the episode you've always wanted but never knew you always wanted. It's Dylan as Nic Cage as Tommy Wiseau talking to an inflatable kangaroo who has switched bodies with an over-the-top Australian cliche. You will never hear that sentence again. If you've never seen The Room, you might want to watch this first to understand what is being mimicked here.

The Vlog: Season 4, Episode 5 (Story Time #2 - The Princess Bride).

Sorry to everybody waiting around for this at midnight. I know it's slightly late, but hey... it's only an hour late. Anyway, this episode gets particularly meta... mostly because of the scene that's happening, the dialogue being spoken with the characters, and the "actors" playing them. You'll see what I mean. But I don't think I could have had a more perfect setup.

The Vlog: Season 4, Episode 4 (The VooDoo Man).

I know it's a short episode, but I think it's a fun one anyway. Now that the premiere and the first Story Time are done, it's time for a regular episode. Though it turns out the non-Story Time episodes might be a little shorter than the others, as I'm somewhat limited on the randomness I can logically record as a stuffed animal. The Vlog: Season 4, Episode 3 (Story Time #1 - The Dark Knight).

NOTE: Apparently today is the 4-year anniversary of Heath Ledger's death. The posting of this episode did not mean to correspond with that day... it's just a really bizarre coincidence. (Kinda like how this season started on Nic Cage's birthday... but more morbid.)

It's time for the first Story Time of the season! I consider these episodes "Plot B," as it were, while the even-numbered episodes from this point on are "Plot A." And this is also where things start to get even crazier. Dylan turns in yet again a fantastic performance with some brilliant camera work that just adds to the atmosphere of the scene. (I'm sure he'd like to tell you it was intentional... but I'm relatively sure it just kinda happened that way. Sorry, Dylan!)

The Vlog: Season 4, Episode 1 (Switcheroo - Part 1).

Well guys and gals, this is it! It's the start of the newest season of The Vlog! It's full of wackiness, twists, and turns, and I hope everyone digs it! This is just part 1 of the 2-part premiere... the second part obviously going to be put up next Sunday.

I'll also say that this was probably the most difficult set of episodes I've ever had to put together. There are numerous tricks, filming and editing, that had to be done and put together. Split screen, long takes, simultaneous takes/edits, and minor special effects. So I hope it turned out as well as I hope it did. So... let's just get right to it. And, of course, let me know what you think.

The Vlog - Season 4 Trailer.

It's that time again, ladies and gents! That's right, The Vlog is coming back. So you know what that means? We need a trailer! And I have one for you, ready to go. I said when I first started writing for this season that it was either going to be the greatest season possible or a complete disaster. Here's hoping for the former. I will say, though, that so far it's been the most complicated to put together. Anyway, you really don't get much plot from this trailer, but you do get some wacky antics. Unfortunately, it has part of a song that almost no video uploading site will let me use, so I was stuck with Vimeo.
