So here we are. Episode 50! And as it's an episode divisible by 10, that means it's time for a Battle Royale! I'll be honest--this is kind of a bizarre episode. Everything is hilarious as we all just basically sit around and hang out. The Demented Podcast #48: Tom Arnold Sex Tape.

For this episode, we were joined by Jason Soto of Invasion of the B-Movies to discuss films of the "Die Hard Scenario." These are films where it's one man fighting against man while stuck in a closed-in location. And this is apparently a real subgenre. Anyway, we ended up looking at two plane-related flicks in Passenger 57 and (you guessed it) Snakes on a Plane. (And, strangely, SoaP gets one of the longest discussions on a film for this season of the podcast.) From there, Jason goes on to climb The Tower. The Demented Podcast #42 - We're Kinda Cocky.

Today we're joined by Nolahn of the Bargain Bin Review for what is probably one of our best episodes... as well as one of our most offensive. Seriously, starting around roughly the 45-minute mark, this episode becomes incredibly NSFW (I'll give you a hint... the last episode focused on the female anatomy, so I guess it was only fair to balance it out). We had so much fun with this episode we had to do it twice! (More on that within the actual episode.) Otherwise, we're talking about book-to-film adaptations, looking specifically at the films (and their respective short stories), Minority Report and Rashomon. But we don't stay on either long, as Nolahn wanted to branch the discussion off and have a more detailed talk about when it's right and wrong to hate on a film, particularly if it's staying true to its source material. We discuss many different films, everything from Harry Potter and Twilight to Thor, Narnia, Watchmen, Jaws, and more! But then it's time for Nolahn to take on the Tower once again. The Demented Podcast #40 - Battle Royale 4.

After almost a month of no episodes, we're finally coming back at ya. There were a few reasons behind this, most of them scheduling issues. But we're starting off here with the fourth edition of the Battle Royale, where the Top 5 Tower players of the past season face off until there's only one left. As usual, the recording itself was at least 2 and a half hours, and I managed to cut it down to less than an hour and 20 minutes. It was mostly randomness, some connection issues, and few jokes (but the majority of the funny stayed in!). So here, Steve and I are joined by Rachel, Kai, Stevee, Jandy, and Jason. Guest Podcast: Film Yarn - Hunger Games/Battle Royale.

Hey, I was guesting on a new podcast (and by new, I mean one I hadn't been on before)! It's the Film Yarn podcast with Fredo. We were talking Hunger Games. Backstory is that he posted on Twitter that he thought the Shaky Cam was even worse than the Bourne films. I strongly disagreed, and he asked me to come on his show and debate. What I didn't realize was that he was just trying to wrangle me in to discuss a comparison between Hunger Games and Battle Royale... a big thing with me. We have a great discussion, despite a few minor audio issues (that unfortunately weren't edited out). But hopefully it's not too distracting.
