Random Ramblings of a Demented DoorVlog S2.3.

Here's episode S2.3.

This particular episode references Episode 4 of Season 1. This is what you need to know...

Previously, in Episode S1.4 of The Vlog: Nick got stuck in a time loop, unable to escape. We were introduced to the fact that Nick has the sword of Godric Gryffindor.

Last time on The Vlog: Nick was upset about Winston's disappearance. Something seemed to cast a kind of spell on the apartment, causing both Nick and DPR to fall into silence. However, DPR was able to counter the spell by having Nick embarrass himself.

From now on, the video lengths will be bumped up to a maximum of 5 minutes, 40 seconds due to the 40-second opening credits that I don't count for the overall run-time. So there is still roughly 5 minutes of new footage and 40 seconds of opening credits.

This particular episode was interesting. I ended up hurting my foot (not bad, though) during the skit; I made myself momentarily sick to my stomach during a particular stunt I try to pull; and I just could not get the closer of one of my segments right. And despite the new time limit, there is a slightly longer length to this episode only because I've added some bloopers at the end of the video. Anywho, enjoy the video!

  1. That's two eps in a row in which you've unzipped your pants. I'm starting to get concerned.

The Potter reference was all but lost on me; then again, I don't like #2 all that much. Still, love to see you shaming yourself via dressing up like Potter. So great...

I already mentioned this to you, but Adrien Brody a grizzled warrior? You're pushin' it.

Nice job with the Coke, though I don't know if it really counts as a chugging if you have to stop 3/4 or the way through. Tsk tsk...

  2. To be fair, I didn't actually unzip my pants in the previous episode (I did this time, though).

I already explained the Potter reference to you on Facebook, so I won't bother again here.

That was a tough comparison! He was a soldier, and he was mildly gruff...

Yeah, again, my throat was BURNING near the end. And my stomach hurt for a while afterward and I still have chestburn (since I just did it a few hours ago at this point).

  3. I really liked this one. I liked the shots of you missing your couch. As much as I like Harry Potter, the reference was lost on me. And how did you hurt your foot?

PS: I was disturbed too when you unzipped your pants. No offense.

  4. Alrighty... let me explain the HP reference. In Chamber of Secrets, a new spell (Finite Incantatem) is introduced--I believe initially during the Dueling Club segments. The spell is used to negate continuous spells (hence the latin translation of finish/end incantation). They use it a few more times throughout the series, as well. In the CoS movie, Hermione uses it against the rogue bludger that almost kills Harry during Quidditch, but the spell is shown incorrectly and explodes the thing instead. Hermione also mentions it in Deathly Hallows Part 1 to Ron when he asks what to do about the raining office at the Ministry of Magic. But I digress.

This is how I hurt my foot... there is very little space in that laundry closet, so when I had to climb back over my dryer and squish myself back so you couldn't see any of me past the door, I was pretty crammed. Then I had to somehow turn and fall into view. I kinda bent my foot the wrong way a couple times in the process.

And disturbed is what I was going for with the unzipping of the pants :P .

  5. The unzipping wasn't the disturbing part. It was searching for something for so long. Use your pocket next time. Overall loving the pacing and timing. And of course the Harry potter reference was great.

  6. Jess: lol... I actually had it strategically placed, but when I put my hand in to grab it, it fell into the leg of my pants, which is why I reach even further down at one point. And putting it in my pocket wouldn't have been nearly as funny.
