[Every Monday, I'm going to be counting down my 52 favorite musical numbers from musical movies and TV shows. I might not like the full movie/show, but the number makes the list for various reasons: 1) I have to like the song, 2) the visual of how the number is performed is most likely unique or fun, 3) both song and visual mixes well to create an exciting or powerful number. I think it's about time I do one of these for a movie I actually like all of. I know a lot of people thought this movie was just OK, but I really enjoyed it... much more than I thought I would. I've always felt the villains of Disney animated musicals always get some of the best songs, and it was no different for The Princess and the Frog. The moment the prince is turned into a frog by the voodoo witchdoctor is fun, stylish, and creepy. Sure, it's not the best villain song out there (hence why it's so low on the list), but it's still a good one.
