Random Ramblings of a Demented DoorVlog #8.

I think I really needed that week off with the Vlog. After what I feel to have been a decrease in quality over the last couple episodes, I'm back with episode 8. And I really like this one... so I hope y'all do, too. It's one of my more original episodes. There are no Dramatic Post Readings... no Bill, either. And I do something I haven't done since, I believe, the first episode: review a movie!

I asked on Facebook for some suggestions in making the Vlog better. I took those into consideration, so I hope this meets your standards. Let me know what you think!

  1. What are you talking about? I thought the Brittany episode was awesome, especially after the stinker of a premiere. I thought Artie's song was the weakest. There were problems, Will's plot was stupid, and the final song wasn't anything special, but this one was so entertaining. Great singing on the part of everyone, especially Britney!

Also, can we take a moment to reflect on how absurdly hot Heather Morris was dancing to "I'm A Slave 4 U"? Yowza!!

    Good vlog episode!

  2. You're nuts! The last song was the best song out of both episodes of the season thus far.

Though I do agree that the girls were particularly hot during the episode.

  3. For the record, I say Artie's song was one of the better ones because, outside of the final one, it was the only one that had any connection to plot or character development (that mattered). That's the whole point of Glee, is that the songs further the plot and characters. All the other ones had absolutely nothing to do with anything except to have Britney Spears songs. And they didn't even pick particularly good ones (outside of "Hit Me Baby One More Time"). And Will's subplot furthered his character development, so I didn't have a problem with it.

  4. Hmmm...from True Blood to Glee. :\

    :P

Anyway, dug the ep, especially the killer ending, and the one sentence review. That monologue was from a movie, right? I can't place it.

  5. Fletch: lol... you just don't like TV talk in general, do you?

The monologue isn't from a movie. Cousin Jerry is a character a friend of mine randomly came up with. Well... Jerry's cousin, as well, as he's the one always telling the stories. The joke goes that Jerry has "the lactose-intolerance disease," but always eats cheese. And no matter what he does, his general activities always end up with him getting his left foot cut off. So outside of the initial monologue opening, I came up with the rest.

  6. Loved the cliffhanger - felt very Billy Madison! I'm with you on Glee. Somehow they didn't find the song that would spark - missing out on Womenizer was a mistake. Keep doing the one-sentence reviews.
